Praise the LORD!

 

How good to sing praises to our God!

    How delightful and how fitting! 

The LORD is rebuilding Jerusalem

    and bringing the exiles back to Israel.

He heals the broken hearted

    and bandages their wounds.

He said, "If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you."  (see Exodus 15:22-27)

    So Moses cried out to the LORD, "O God, I beg you, please heal her!"

    But the LORD said to Moses, "If her father had done nothing more than spit in her face, wouldn't she be defiled for seven days? So keep her outside the camp for seven days, after that she may be accepted back."

"Look now; I myself am he!

Psalm 102:16  

For the LORD will rebuild Jerusalem.

The LORD will comfort Israel again

    and have pity on her ruins.

Her desert will blossom like Eden,

The LORD protects the foreigners among us.

    He cares for the orphans and widows,

    but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

    "Do not take advantage of foreigners who live among you in your land. Treat them like native-born Israelites, and love them as you love yourself. Remember that you were once foreigners living in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God."

Exodus 12:48-49  

    "If there are foreigners living among you who want to celebrate the LORD's Passover, let all their males be circumcised. Only then may they celebrate the Passover with you like any native-born Israelite. But no uncircumcised male may ever eat the Passover meal. This instruction applies to everyone, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner living among you."
