Psalm 119:97-104 Part 6

                    MEM
Oh, how I love your instructions!
I think about them all day long.
Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,

Your commandments give me understanding;
no wonder I hate every false way of life.

I haven't turned away from your regulations, for you have taught me well.
Deuteronomy 4:5
"Look, I now teach you these decrees and regulations just as the LORD my God commanded me, so that you may obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy."  (see Deuteronomy 4:1-14)
Deuteronomy 5:32-33
So Moses told the people, "You must be careful to obey all the commands of the LORD your God, following his instructions in every detail. Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy."
(see all Deuteronomy 5)
Deuteronomy 17:18-20
"When he sits on the throne as king, he must copy for himself this body of instruction on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests. He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the LORD his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees. This regular reading will prevent him from being proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way. And it will ensure that he and his descendants will reign for many generations in Israel."
(see Deuteronomy 17:14-20)
Joshua 1:7
"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do."  (see Joshua 1:1-9)

Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,

But they delight in the law of the LORD,
meditating on it day and night.  (see all Psalm 1)
Proverbs 4:14-16
Don't do as the wicked do,

                    LAMEDH
Your eternal word, O LORD,
    stands firm in heaven.
Your faithfulness extends to every generation,
as enduring as the earth you created.
Your regulations remain true to this day,

If your instructions hadn't sustained me with joy,

I will never forget your commandments,
for by them you give me life.
I am yours, rescue me!
For I have worked hard at obeying your commandments.
Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me,

Psalm 119:89-96 Part 6

                    LAMEDH
Your eternal word, O LORD,
    stands firm in heaven.
Your faithfulness extends to every generation,
as enduring as the earth you created.
Your regulations remain true to this day,
    for everything serves your plans.
If your instructions hadn't sustained me with joy,
I would have died in misery.
I will never forget your commandments,
for by them you give me life.
I am yours, rescue me!
For I have worked hard at obeying your commandments.
Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me,
I will quietly keep my mind on your laws.
Even perfection has its limits,
but your commands have no limit.

Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my mind on your laws.
Psalm 40:14-15
May those who try to destroy me
be humiliated and put to shame.
May those who take delight in my trouble
    be turned back in disgrace.
Let them be horrified by their shame,
for they said, "Aha! We've got him now!"  (see all Psalm 40)
Psalm 69:4
Those who hate me without cause
outnumber the hairs on my head.
Many enemies try to destroy me with lies,
demanding that I give back what I didn't steal.
Psalm 69:13-14
But I keep praying to you, LORD,
hoping this time you will show me favor.
In your unfailing love, O God,
answer my prayer with your sure salvation.
Rescue me from the mud;
don't let me sink any deeper!
Save me from those who hate me,
and pull me from these deep waters.  (see all Psalm 69)
Psalm 119:153
Look upon my suffering and rescue me,
for I have not forgotten your instructions.  (see Psalm 119:153-160)
Isaiah 32:7
The smooth tricks of scoundrels are evil.
    They plot crooked schemes.
They lie to convict the poor,
even when the cause of the poor is just.  (see all Isaiah 32)
