Psalm 119:97-104 Part 2

                    MEM 

Oh, how I love your instructions!

    I think about them all day long.

Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,

    for they are my constant guide.

Yes, I have more insight than my teachers,

    for I am always thinking of your laws.

I am even wiser than my elders,

    for I have kept your commandments.

I have refused to walk on any evil path,

    so that I remain obedient to your word.

I haven't turned away from your regulations, 

    for you have taught me well.

How sweet your words taste to me;

    they are sweeter than honey.

Your commandments give me understanding;

    no wonder I hate every false way of life. 

 

Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.

Deuteronomy 4:6  

"Obey them completely, and you will display your wisdom and intelligence among the surrounding nations. When they hear all these decrees, they will exclaim, 'How wise and prudent are the people of this great nation!' "

Psalm 19:8  

The commandments of the LORD are right,

    bringing joy to the heart.

The commands of the LORD are clear,

Psalm 119:130  

The teaching of your word gives light,

Proverbs 1:7  

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge,

    but fools despise wisdom and discipline.  (see Proverbs 1:1-7)

1 Timothy 3:15-17  

You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to equip his people to do every good work.  (see all 2 Timothy 3)
