Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were four of the young men chosen, all from the tribe of Judah. The chief of staff renamed them with these Babylonian names: Daniel was called Belteshazzar. Hananiah was called Shadrach. Mishael was called Meshach. Azariah was called Abednego.

Hananiah ["the LORD is grace"] was called Shadrach [possibly meaning "command of Aku," another Babylonian god.]
Mishael ["who is God?"] was called
Meshach ["who is Aku?".]
Azariah ["the LORD helps"] was called Abednego ["servant of Nego/Nebo," another Babylonian god.]
Daniel 2:49 At Daniel's request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king's court. [see all chapter 2]
Daniel 3:16-18 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you.
