Psalm 81:2 Part 1 of 2

 Sing! Beat the tambourine. Play the sweet lyre and the harp.
 
Sing! Beat the tambourine
Exodus 15:20  Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine and led all the women as they played their tambourines and danced.
1 Samuel 18:6-7  When the victorious Israelite army was returning home after David had killed the Philistine, women from all the towns of Israel came out to meet King Saul. They sang and danced for joy with tambourines and cymbals. This was their song: "Saul has killed his thousands, and David his ten thousands!"
2 Samuel 6:5  David and all the people of Israel were celebrating before the LORD, and singing songs and playing all kinds of musical instruments--lyres, harps, tambourines, castanets and cymbals.
Psalm 68:24-26  Your procession has come into view, O God--the procession of my God and King as he goes into the sanctuary. Singers are in front, musicians behind; between them are young women playing tambourines. Praise God, all you people of Israel; praise the LORD, the source of Israel's life.
Jeremiah 31:3-5  Long ago the LORD said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. I will rebuild you, my virgin Israel. You will again be happy and dance merrily with  your tambourines. Again you will plant your vineyards on the mountains of Samaria and eat from your own gardens there.
