Luke 23:32-35 Part 1 of 2

Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him. When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified--one on his right and one on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. The crowd watched and the leaders scoffed. "He saved others," they said, "let him save himself if he is really God's Messiah, the Chosen One."
 
Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him.
Isaiah 53:12  I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.
Luke 22:37  "For the time has come for this prophecy about me to be fulfilled: 'He was counted among the rebels.' Yes, everything written about me by the prophets will come true."
 
When they came to a place called The Skull, 
Matthew 27:33  And they went out to a place called Golgotha (which means "Place of the Skull"). [see also Mark 15:22]
John 19:17  Carrying the cross by himself, he went to the place called Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha).
 
they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified--one on his right and one on his left. 
Matthew 27:38  The two revolutionaries were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. [see also Mark 15:27]
John 19:18  There they nailed him to the cross. Two others were crucified with him, one on either side, with Jesus between them.
 
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." 
Matthew 5:44  "But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!"
Luke 6:35  "Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked."
John 11:41  So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "Father, thank you for hearing me." [see verses 17-44]
John 12:27-28  "Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, 'Father, save me from this hour'? But this is the very reason I came! Father, bring glory to your name." Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying, 'I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again." [see verses 20-36]
