Psalm 119:161-168 Part 2

                    SHIN
Powerful people harass me without cause,
but my heart trembles only at your word.
I rejoice in your word
like one who discovers great treasure.
I hate and abhor all falsehood,
    but I love your instructions.
I will praise you seven times a day
because all your regulations are just.
Those who love your instructions have great peace
    and do not stumble.
I long for your rescue, LORD,
so I have obeyed your commands.
I have obeyed your laws,
for I love them very much.
Yes, I obey your commandments and laws
because you know everything I do.

I rejoice in your word like one who discovers great treasure.
Psalm 119:111
Your laws are my treasure;
they are my heart's delight.  (see Psalm 119:105-112)
Deuteronomy 33:4
Moses gave us the LORD's instruction,
the special possession of the people of Israel.  (see all Deuteronomy 33)
Matthew 6:21
"Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will be also."
(see Matthew 6:19-21, also Luke 12:32-34)
1 Samuel 30:16-17
So he led David to them, and they found the Amalekites spread out across the fields, eating and drinking and dancing with joy because of the vast amount of plunder they had taken from the Philistines and the land of Judah. David and his men rushed in among them and slaughtered them throughout that night and the entire next day until evening. None of the Amalekites escaped except 400 young men who fled on camels.  (see all 1 Samuel 30)
Isaiah 9:3
You will enlarge the nation of Israel,
    and its people will rejoice.
They will rejoice before you
as people rejoice at the harvest
and like warriors dividing the plunder.  (see all Isaiah 9)
Isaiah 53:12
I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier,
because he exposed himself to death.  (see all Isaiah 53)
