Psalm 138:4-6 Part 3 of 3

Every king in all the earth will thank you, LORD,
    for all of them will hear your words.
Yes, they will sing about the LORD's ways,
    for the glory of the LORD is very great.
Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble,
    but he keeps his distance from the proud.

Psalm 25:8-10
The LORD is good and does what is right;
    he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
He leads the humble in doing right,
    teaching him his way.
The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness
    all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.  (see all Psalm 25)
Psalm 113:7-8  
He lifts the poor from the dust
    and the needy from the garbage dump.
He sets them among princes,
    even princes among his own people!  (see all Psalm 113)
Proverbs 3:34  
The LORD mocks the mockers
    but is gracious to the humble.  (see Proverbs 3:21-35)
Matthew 23:11-12  
"The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

James 4:6  
And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,
    "God opposes the proud
        but gives grace to the humble."  (Proverbs 3:34)

1 Peter 5:5-7  
    In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. and all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.  (see all 1 Peter 5)
