Psalm 143:3-4 Part 2 of 2

My enemy has chased me.
    He has knocked me to the ground
    and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave.
I am losing all hope;
    I am paralyzed with fear.

I am losing all hope; ...
Psalm 10:17
LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless.
    Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.  (see all Psalm 10)
Psalm 9:18
But the needy will not be ignored forever;
    the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed.  (see all Psalm 9)
Psalm 112:10
The wicked will see this and be infuriated.
    They will grind their teeth in anger;
    they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.  (see all Psalm 112)
Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
    but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
Ephesians 2:12
In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope.  (see Ephesians 2:11-18)
Colossians 1:4-5
For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all God's people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.  (see all Colossians 1)

... I am paralyzed with fear.
Proverbs 29:25
Fearing people is a dangerous trap,
    but trusting the LORD means safety.
Ecclesiastes 3:14
    And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God's purpose is that people should fear him.
(see all Ecclesiastes 3)
2 Corinthians 7:5
When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside.
(see all 2 Corinthians 7)
1 John 4:17-19
And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.
    Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.
(see all 1 John 4)
