Daniel 3:9-10 Part 2 of 3

I watched as thrones were put in place

    and the Ancient One sat down to judge.

His clothing was as white as snow,

    his hair like purest wool.

He sat on a fiery throne

    with wheels of blazing fire,

and a river of fire was pouring out,

    flowing from his presence.

Millions of angels ministered to him;

    many millions stood to attend him.

Then the court began its session,

    and the books were opened.

Ezekiel 1:13-15  The living beings looked like bright coals of fire or brilliant torches, and lightning seemed to flash back and forth among them. And the living beings darted to and fro like flashes of lightning. As I looked at these beings, I saw four wheels touching the ground beside them, one wheel belonging to each.

Ezekiel 1:26-27  Above this surface (verse 22) was something that looked like a throne made of blue lapis lazuli. And on this throne high above was a figure whose appearance resembled a man. From what appeared to be his waist up, he looked like gleaming amber, flickering like a fire. And from his waist down, he looked like a burning flame, shining with splendor. (see all chapter 1)

Ezekiel 10:2  Then the LORD spoke to the man in linen clothing and said, "Go between the whirling wheels beneath the cherubim, and take a handful of burning coals and scatter them over the city." He did this as I watched. (see all chapters 8-11)

Psalm 50:3  Our God approaches, and he is not silent. Fire devours everything in his way, and a great storm rages around him. (see verses 1-6)

Daniel 7:9-10 Part 1 of 3

I watched as thrones were put in place and the Ancient One sat down to judge.

Daniel 7:21-22  As I watched, this horn was waging war against God's holy people and was defeating them, until the Ancient One--the Most High--came and judged in favor of his holy people. Then the time arrived for the holy people to take over the kingdom.

Psalm 47:8  God reigns above the nations, sitting on his holy throne. (see all Psalm 47)

Isaiah 6:1  It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. (see verses 1-4)

Matthew 28:2-3  Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. (see verses 1-10)

Mark 9:2-3  Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus' appearance was transformed, and his clothes became dazzling white, far whiter than any earthly bleach could ever make them. (see verses 1-13)

Revelation 1:12-14  When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven gold lampstands. And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man. Daniel 7:7-8

Then in my vision that night, I saw a fourth beast--terrifying, dreadful, and very strong. It devoured and crushed its victims with huge iron teeth and trampled their remains beneath its feet. It was different from any of the other beasts, and it had ten horns. As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them. Three of the first horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. This little horn had eyes like human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly.

Daniel 2:40  "Following that kingdom, there will be a fourth one, as strong as iron. That kingdom will smash and crush all previous empires, just as iron smashes and crushes everything it strikes." (see verses 36-44)

Daniel 7:23  Then he said to me, "This fourth beast is the fourth world power that will rule the earth. It will be different from all the others. It will devour the whole world, trampling and crushing everything in its path."

 

It was different from any of the other beasts, and it had ten horns. As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them. Three of the first horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. 

Daniel 7:20a  I also asked about the ten horns on the fourth beast's head and the little horn that came up afterward and destroyed three of the other horns.

Daniel 7:24  "Its ten horns are ten kings who will rule that empire. Then another king will arise, different from the other ten, who will subdue three of them."

Revelation 12:3  Then I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on its heads. (see all chapter 12)

Revelation 13:1  Then I saw a beast rising up out of the sea. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns. And written on each head were names that blasphemed God. (see verses 1-10)

Revelation 17:3  So the angel took me in the spirit into the wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, and blasphemies against God were written all over it. (see all chapter 17)

 

This little horn had eyes like human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly. 

Daniel 7:20b  This horn had seemed greater than the others, and it had human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly.

Psalm 73:8-9  They scoff and speak only evil; in their pride they seek to crush others. They boast against the very heavens, and their words strut throughout the earth. (see all Psalm 73)

Proverbs 26:28  A lying tongue hates its victims, and flattering words cause ruin.

James 3:7-9  People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. (see all chapter 3)

Then four huge beasts came up out of the water, each different from the others. The first beast was like a lion with eagles' wings. As I watched, its wings were pulled off, and it was left standing with its two hind feet on the ground, like a human being. And it was given a human mind. Then I saw a second beast, and it looked like a bear. It was rearing up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And I heard a voice saying to it, "Get up! Devour the flesh of many people!" Then the third of these strange beasts appeared, and it looked like a leopard. It had four bird's wings on its back, and it had four heads. Great authority was given to this beast. 

 

Then I saw a second beast, and it looked like a bear. It was rearing up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And I heard a voice saying to it, "Get up! Devour the flesh of many people!"

Daniel 2:39  "But after your kingdom comes to an end, another kingdom, inferior to yours, will rise to take your place. After that kingdom has fallen, yet a third kingdom, represented by bronze, will rise to rule the world." (see verses 27-45)

Isaiah 44:28  "When I say of Cyrus, 'He is my shepherd,' he will certainly do as I say. He will command, 'Rebuild Jerusalem'; he will say, 'Restore the Temple.' " (see verses 44:21-45:13)

Daniel 6:15  In the evening the men went together to the king and said, "Your Majesty, you know that according to the law of the Medes and the Persians, no law that the king signs can be changed." (see verses 6-24)

Daniel 8:19-20  Then he (Gabriel) said, "I am here to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath. What you have seen (chapter 7) pertains to the very end of time. The two-horned ram represents the kings of Media and Persia." (see verses 1-4)

Proverbs 28:15-16  A wicked ruler is as dangerous to the poor as a roaring lion or an attacking bear. A ruler with no understanding will oppress his people.

Daniel 8:21-22  "The shaggy male goat represents the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes represents the first king of the Greek Empire. The four prominent horns that replaced the one large horn show that the Greek Empire will break into four kingdoms, but none as great as the first." (see verses 5-8)

In my vision that night, I, Daniel, saw a great storm churning the surface of a great sea, with strong winds blowing from every direction. 

 

Revelation 7:1-3  Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds so they did not blow on the earth or the sea, or even on any tree. And I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. And he shouted to the four angels, who had been given power to harm land and sea, "Wait! Don't harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of his servants." (see verses 1-8)

Daniel 7:1

Earlier, during the first year of King Belshazzar's reign in Babylon, Daniel had a dream and saw visions as he lay in his bed. He wrote down the dream, and this is what he saw.

Daniel 5:1  Many years later King Belshazzar gave a great feast for 1,000 of his nobles, and he drank wine with them. (see all chapter 5)

Daniel 8:1  During the third year of King Belshazzar's reign, I, Daniel, saw another vision, following the one that had already appeared to me. (see verses 1-14)

Daniel had a dream and saw visions as he lay in his bed. 

Job 33:14-16  "For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds. He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings." (see verses 12-18)

Daniel 2:1  One night during the second year of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar had such disturbing dreams that he couldn't sleep. (see verses 1-45)

Daniel 4:4-5  "I, Nebuchadnezzar, was living in my palace in comfort and prosperity. But one night I had a dream that frightened me; I saw visions that terrified me as I lay in my bed." (see all chapter 4)

Joel 2:28  "Then, after doing all those things (see verses 18-27), I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions." (see verses 28-32)

He wrote down the dream, and this is what he saw. 

Jeremiah 36:4  So Jeremiah sent for Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated all the prophesies that the LORD had given him, Baruch wrote them on a scroll. (see all chapter 36)
