He
knew their thoughts so he said, "Any kingdom divided by civil war is
doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart. You say I am
empowered by Satan. But if Satan is divided and fighting against
himself, how can his kingdom survive? And if I am empowered by Satan,
what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will
condemn you for what you have said. But if I am casting out demons by
the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you."

Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, "I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?" Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered. (see also verses 17-20)

Luke 17:20-21 One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, "When will the Kingdom of God come?" Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God can't be detected by visible signs. You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For the Kingdom of God is already among you."
Luke 21:31 "In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is near." (see verses 5-36)
