LAMENTATIONS
The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Lamentations 3:22-23
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely
with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow
with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
with contempt.
At his command a great army has come
to crush my young warriors.
The LORD has trampled his beloved city
like grapes are trampled in a winepress.
For all these things I weep;
tears flow down my cheeks.
No one is here to comfort me;
any who might encourage me are far away.
My children have no future,
for the enemy has conquered us."
"The LORD has treated my mighty men with contempt. At his command a great army has come to crush my young warriors."
Isaiah 41:2-4
"Who has stirred up this king from the east, rightly calling him to God's service?
Who gives this man victory over many nations
