LAMENTATIONS
The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Lamentations 3:22-23
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely
with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow
with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
vanishes beneath his fierce anger.
The Lord has withdrawn his protection
as the enemy attacks.
He consumes the whole land of Israel
like a raging fire.
He bends his bow against his people,
as though he were their enemy.
His strength is used against them
to kill their finest youth.
His fury is poured out like fire
on beautiful Jerusalem.
All the strength of Israel vanishes beneath his fierce anger.
Deuteronomy 29:28
" 'In great anger and fury the LORD uprooted his people from their land and banished them to another land, where they still live today!' " (see Deuteronomy 29:22-27)
2 Kings 22:13
"Go to the Temple and speak to the LORD for me and for the people and for all Judah. Inquire about the words written in this scroll that has been found. For the LORD's great anger is burning against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words in this scroll. We have not been doing everything it says we must do." Psalm 74:11
Why do you hold back your strong right hand?
Unleash your powerful fist and destroy them. (see all Psalm 74)
He consumes the whole land of Israel like a raging fire.
Isaiah 42:25
Therefore, he poured out his fury on them
and destroyed them in battle.
They were enveloped in flames,
but they still refused to understand.
They were consumed by fire,
but they did not learn their lesson. (see Isaiah 42:18-25)
Jeremiah 21:4-5
" 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel says: I will make your weapons useless against the king of Babylon and the Babylonians who are outside your walls attacking you. In fact, I will bring your enemies right into the heart of this city. I myself will fight against you with a strong hand and a powerful arm, for I am very angry. You have made me furious!' He bends his bow against his people, as though he were their enemy.
Lamentations 3:12-13
He has drawn his bow
and made me the target for his arrows.
He shot his arrows
deep into my heart. (see Lamentations 3:1-18)
His strength is used against them to kill their finest youth.
Ezekiel 20:34
"And in anger I will reach out with my strong right hand and powerful arm, and I will bring you back from the lands where you are scattered.

Ezekiel 24:25
Then the LORD said to me, "Son of man, on the day I take away their stronghold--their joy and glory, their heart's desire, their dearest treasure--I will also take away their sons and daughters." (see all Ezekiel 24)
His fury is poured out like fire on beautiful Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 4:20
Waves of destruction roll over the land,
until it lies in complete desolation.
Suddenly my tents are destroyed;
in a moment my shelters are crushed. (see all Jeremiah 4)
Jeremiah 7:20
So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "I will pour out my terrible fury on this place. Its people, animals, trees, and crops will be consumed by the unquenchable fire of my anger." (see all Jeremiah 7)
