Psalm 119:56-74 Part 3

                    HETH
LORD, you are mine!
I promise to obey your words!
With all my heart I want your blessings.
    Be merciful as you promised.
I pondered the direction of my life,
and I turned to follow your laws.
I will hurry, without delay,
    to obey your commands.
Evil people try to drag me into sin,
but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.
I rise at midnight to thank you
    for your just regulations.
I am a friend to anyone who fears you--
    anyone who obeys your commandments.
O LORD, your unfailing love fills the earth;
    teach me your decrees.

I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.
Joshua 24:14-15
"So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD."  (see all Joshua 24)
Psalm 39:1
I said to myself, "I will watch what I do
and not sin in what I say.
I will hold my tongue
when the ungodly are around me."  (see all Psalm 39)
Luke 15:17-19
"When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, 'At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! I will go home to my father and say, "Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant." ' "  (see Luke 15:11-32)
