Psalm 119:65-72 Part 3b

                    TETH 

You have done many good things for me, LORD,

    just as you promised.

I believe in your commands;

    now teach me good judgment and knowledge.

I used to wander off until you disciplined me;

    but now I closely follow your word.

You are good and only do good;

    teach me your decrees.

Arrogant people smear me with lies,

    but in truth I obey your commandments with all my heart.

Their hearts are dull and stupid,

    but I delight in your instructions.

My suffering was good for me,

    for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees.

Your instructions are more valuable to me

    than millions in gold and silver. 

 

 

but now I closely follow your word.

Luke 9:23  

Then he said to the crowd, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me."

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand. Matthew 4:4  

    But Jesus told him, "No! The Scriptures say,

    'People do not live by bread alone,

        but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "

1 Peter 1:23  

    For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.  (see all 1 Peter 1)
