Your laws are wonderful. No wonder I obey them!
The teaching of your word gives light,
so even the simple can understand.
I pant with expectation,
longing for your commands.
Come and show me your mercy,
as you do for all who love your name.
Guide my steps by your word,
so I will not be overcome by evil.
Ransom me from the oppression of evil people;
then I can obey your commandments.
Look upon me with love;
teach me your decrees.
Rivers of tears gush from my eyes
because people disobey your instructions.
Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.
Psalm 6:4
Return, O LORD, and rescue me.
Save me because of your unfailing love. (see all Psalm 6)

Psalm 9:13
LORD, have mercy on me.
See how my enemies torment me.
Snatch me back from the jaws of death. (see all Psalm 9)
Psalm 5:11
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them sing joyful praises forever.
Spread your protection over them,
that all who love your name may be filled with joy. (see all Psalm 5)
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

Keep your servant from deliberate sins!
Don't let them control me.
Then I will be free of guilt
and innocent of great sin. (see all Psalm 19)

I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. (see Psalm 119:1-16)

Don't you realize that you become a slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God which leads to righteous living. (see all Romans 6)
