Psalm 119:137-144 Part 4

                    TSADHE
O LORD, you are righteous,
    and your regulations are fair.
Your laws are perfect
    and completely trustworthy.
I am overwhelmed with indignation,
    for my enemies have disregarded your words.
Your promises have been thoroughly tested;
    that is why I love them so much.
I am insignificant and despised,
    but I don't forget your commandments.
Your justice is eternal,
    and your instructions are perfectly true.
As pressure and stress bear down on me,
    I find joy in your commands.
Your laws are always right;
    help me to understand them so I may live.

I am insignificant and despised, but I don't forget your commandments.
Psalm 22:6-7
But I am a worm and not a man.
    I am scorned and despised by all!
Everyone who sees me mocks me.
    They sneer and shake their heads, saying, ...  (see all Psalm 22)
Psalm 119:61
Evil people try to drag me into sin,
    but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.  (see Psalm 119:57-64)
Psalm 119:134
Ransom me from the oppression of evil people;
    then I can obey your commandments.  (see Psalm 119:129-136)
Isaiah 53:3
He was despised and rejected--
    a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
    He was despised and we did not care.  (see all Isaiah 53)
1 Corinthians 1:27-28
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.  (see 1 Corinthians 1:18-32)
