Psalm 143:5-6 Part 3 of 3

I remember the days of old.

    I ponder all your great works

    and think about what you have done.

I lift my hands to you in prayer.

    I thirst for you as a parched land thirsts for rain.

Psalm 42:1-3

As the deer longs for streams of water,

    so I long for you, O God.

I thirst for God, the living God.

    When can I go and stand before him?

I have only tears for food,

    while my enemies continually taunt me, saying,

    "Where is this God of yours?"  (see all Psalms 42-43)

Matthew 5:6  

"God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,

    for they will be satisfied."  (see Matthew 5:1-12)

John 4:13-14  

    Jesus replied, "Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life."

John 7:37-38  

On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, "Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.' "  (see John 7:37-44)

Revelation 21:5-7  

    And the one sitting on the throne said, "Look, I am making everything new!" And then he said to me, "Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true." And he also said, "It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega--the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children."

Revelation 22:16-17  

    "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star."

    The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let anyone who hears this say, "Come." Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.  (see all Revelation 22)
