Luke 9:32-36 Part 1 of 5

Peter and the others had fallen asleep. When they woke up, they saw Jesus' glory and the two men standing with him. As Moses and Elijah were starting to leave, Peter, not even knowing what he was saying, blurted out, "Master, it's wonderful for us to be here! Let's make three shelters as memorials--one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." But even as he was saying this, a cloud overshadowed them, and terror gripped them as the cloud covered them. Then a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him." When the voice finished, Jesus was there alone. They didn't tell anyone at that time what they had seen.

Peter and the others had fallen asleep.
Matthew 26:40  Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, "Couldn't you watch with me even one hour?"
Matthew 26:43-46  When he returned to them again, he found them sleeping, for they couldn't keep their eyes open. So he went a third time, saying the same things again. Then he came to the disciples and said, "Go ahead and sleep. Have your rest. But look--the time has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Up, let's be going. Look, my betrayer is here!"
Mark 14:37  Then he returned and found the disciples asleep. He said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Couldn't you watch with me even one hour?"
Mark 14:40-42  When he returned to them the third time, he said, "Go ahead and sleep. Have your rest. But no--the time has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Up, let's be going. Look, my betrayer is here!"
Luke 22:45  At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief.
