Luke 9:32-36 Part 2 of 5

Peter and the others had fallen asleep. When they woke up, they saw Jesus' glory and the two men standing with him. As Moses and Elijah were starting to leave, Peter, not even knowing what he was saying, blurted out, "Master, it's wonderful for us to be here! Let's make three shelters as memorials--one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." But even as he was saying this, a cloud overshadowed them, and terror gripped them as the cloud covered them. Then a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him." When the voice finished, Jesus was there alone. They didn't tell anyone at that time what they had seen.

When they woke up, they saw Jesus' glory and the two men standing with him.
Exodus 33:18  Moses responded, "Then show me your glorious presence."
Exodus 40:34  Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the LORD filled the Tabernacle.
John 1:14  So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son.
John 2:11  This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him. (see John 2:1-10)
2 Peter 1:16-17  For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, "This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy."
1 John 1:1  We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.
1 John 4:14  Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
