Luke 12:35-38 Part 1 of 3

"Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning, as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat! He may come in the middle of the night or just before dawn. But whenever he comes, he will reward the servants who are ready."

"Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning,"

Exodus 12:11  "These are your instructions for eating this meal: Be fully dressed, wear your sandals, and carry your walking stick in your hand. Eat the meal with urgency, for this is the LORD's Passover."

Matthew 25:6-7  "At midnight they were roused by the shout, 'Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!' All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps." (see verses 1-13)

Ephesians 6:12  Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all the strategies of the devil. (see verses 10-18)

1 Peter 1:13  So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.

Matthew 24:36-39  "However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn't realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes." (see verses 1-44)

Matthew 24:42  "So you, too, must keep watch! For you don't know what day your Lord is coming."

Revelation 3:20  "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."
