Luke 12:41-44 Part 1 of 2

Peter asked, "Lord, is that an illustration just for us or for everyone?" And the Lord replied, "A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns."

Peter asked, "Lord, is that an illustration just for us or for everyone?"
Mark 13:35-37  "You, too, must keep watch! For you don't know when the master of the household will return--in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don't let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!"

And the Lord replied, "A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them."
Matthew 25:14  "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone." (See also Matthew 24:45)
Genesis 39:4-5  This pleased Potiphar, so he soon made Joseph his personal attendant. He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. From the day Joseph was put in charge of his master's household and property, the LORD began to bless Potiphar's household for Joseph's sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished.
Numbers 10:6-8  And the LORD said to them (Aaron and Miriam), "Now listen to what I say: If there were prophets among you, I, the LORD, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams. But not with my servant Moses. Of all my house, he is the one I trust. I speak to him face to face, clearly and not in riddles! He sees the LORD as he is. So why were you not afraid to criticize my servant Moses?" (see verses 1-16)
Hebrews 3:2  For he (Jesus) was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God's entire house.
Hebrews 3:5  Moses was certainly faithful in God's house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.
