Luke 12:45-48 Part 3 of 3

"But what if the servant thinks, 'My master won't be back for awhile,' and he begins beating the other servants, partying and getting drunk? The master will return unannounced and unexpected, and he will cut the servant in pieces and banish him with the unfaithful. And a servant who knows what the master wants, but isn't prepared and doesn't carry out those instructions, will be severely punished. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when some one has been entrusted with much, even more will be required."

Matthew 11:23-24  "And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would still be here today. I tell you, even Sodom will be better off on judgment day than you."

James 4:17  Remember, it is a sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

John 9:41  "If you were blind, you wouldn't be guilty," Jesus replied. "But you remain guilty because you claim you can see." (see verses 35-41)

Deuteronomy 25:2-3  "If the person in the wrong is sentenced to be flogged, the judge must command him to lie down and be beaten in his presence with the number of lashes appropriate to the crime. But never give more than forty lashes; more than forty lashes would publicly humiliate your neighbor."

Leviticus 5:17  "Suppose you sin by violating one of the LORD's commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin." (see verses 18-19)

1 Timothy 1:12-13  I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. Matthew 25:29a  "To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance."

Matthew 13:12  "To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them." (see also Mark 4:24-25)
