Luke 13:18-21 Part 1 of 2

Then Jesus said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches." He also asked, "What else is the Kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough."

Then Jesus said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it?"
Matthew 13:24  Here is another story Jesus told: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field." (see verses 24-30)
Matthew 13:44  "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field."
Matthew 13:45-46  "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!"
Matthew 13:47  "Again the Kingdom of heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind." (see verses 47-52)
Matthew 18:23  "Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him." (see verses 23-35)
Matthew 20:1  "For the Kingdom of Heaven is like the landowner who went out early one morning to hire workers for his vineyard." (see verses 1-16)
Matthew 22:2  "The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son." (see verses 1-14)
Matthew 25:1  "Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom." (see verses 1-13)
Mark 4:26  "Then the Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground." (see verses 26-29)
