Proverbs 20:18 Plans succeed through good counsel; don't go to war without wise advice.
Proverbs 24:6 So don't go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisors.
Proverbs 27:12 A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.
So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own."
Luke 14:26 "If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison--your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple."
Luke 18:28-30 Peter said, "We've left our homes to follow you." "Yes," Jesus replied, "and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come."
