Luke 14:16-20 Part 1 of 3

Jesus replied with this story: "A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to tell the guests, 'Come, the banquet is ready.' But they all began making excuses. One said, 'I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.' Another said, 'I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.' Another said, 'I now have a wife, so I can't come!' "
 
Jesus replied with this story: "A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations."
Isaiah 25:6  In Jerusalem, the LORD of Heaven's Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat.
Matthew 22:2  "The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son."

"When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to tell the guests, 'Come, the banquet is ready.' " 
Matthew 22:3-4  "When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come! So he sent other servants to tell them, 'The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!' "
Esther 5:4  And Esther replied, "If it please the king, let the king and Haman come today to a banquet I have prepared for the king. (see verses 5-12, 6:14-7:10)
Proverbs 9:2-6  She (Wisdom) has prepared a great banquet, mixed the wines, and set the table. She has sent her servants to invite everyone to come. She calls out from the heights overlooking the city. "Come in with me," she urges the simple. To those who lack good judgment, she says, "Come, eat my food, and drink the wine I have mixed. Leave your simple ways behind and begin to live; learn to use good judgment."
