Psalm 87:1-3 Part 2 of 3

On the holy mountain
    stands the city founded by the LORD.
He loves the city of Jerusalem
    more than any other city in Israel.
O city of God,
    what glorious things are said of you!

He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other city in Israel.
Psalm 76:1-2
    God is honored in Judah;
        his name is great in Israel.
    Jerusalem is where he lives;
        Mount Zion is his home.  (see all Psalm 76)
Psalm 78:68-69
    He chose instead the tribe of Judah,
        and Mount Zion, which he loved.
    There he built his sanctuary as high as the heavens,
        as solid and enduring as the earth.  (see verses 65-72)
Psalm 122:1-2
    I was glad when they said to me,
        "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
    And now here we are,
        standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem.  (see all Psalm 122)
Psalm 132:13-14
    For the LORD has chosen Jerusalem;
        he has desired it for his home.
    "This is my resting place forever," he said.
        "I will live here, for this is the home I desired."  (see all Psalm 132)
Isaiah 28:16
    Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
    "Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem,
        a firm and tested stone.
    It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on.
        Whoever believes need never be shaken."  (see verses 14-29)
Revelation 3:12  "All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write on them the name of my God, and they will be citizens in the city of my God--the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And I will also write on them my new name."  (see verses 7-13)
