When the LORD registers the nations, he will say,
"They have all become citizens of Jerusalem."
The people will play flutes and sing,
"The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!"
When the LORD registers the nations, he will say, "They have all become citizens of Jerusalem."
Isaiah 4:2-4
But in that day, the branch of the LORD
will be beautiful and glorious;
the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory
of all who survive in Israel.
All who remain in Zion
will be a holy people--
those who survive the destruction of Jerusalem
and are recorded among the living.
The LORD will wash the filth from beautiful Zion
and cleanse Jerusalem of its bloodstains
with the hot breath of fiery judgment. (see all chapter 4)
Malachi 3:16-18 Then those who feared the LORD spoke with each other, and the LORD listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name. "They will be my people," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. "On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not."
The people will play flutes and sing, "The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!"
Psalm 36:7-9
How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter
in the shadow of your wings.
You feed them from the abundance of your own house,
letting them drink from your river of delights.
For you are the fountain of life,
the light by which we see. (see all Psalm 36)
Psalm 149:2-5
O Israel, rejoice in your Maker.
O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.
Praise his name with dancing,
accompanied by tambourine and harp.
For the LORD delights in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them.
Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds. (see all Psalm 149)
