Psalm 95:3-5 Part 2 of 2

For the LORD is a great God,

    a great King above all gods.

He holds in his hands the depths of the earth

    and the mightiest mountains.

The sea belongs to him, for he made it.

    His hands formed the dry land, too.

But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin.

You have allowed me to suffer much hardship,

The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. 

Genesis 1:9-10  Then God said, "Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear."  And that is what happened. God called the dry ground "land" and the waters "seas."  (see verses 9-13)

Psalm 146:6  

He made heaven and earth,

    the sea and everything in them.
