Psalm 97:3-5 Part 1 of 2

Fire spreads ahead of him

    and burns up all his foes.

His lightning flashes out across the world.

    The earth sees and trembles.

The mountains melt like wax before the LORD,

    before the Lord of all the earth.

 

Fire spreads ahead of him and burns up all his foes.

Isaiah 9:19    

The land will be blackened

    by the fury of the LORD of Heaven's Armies.

The people will be fuel for the fire,

    and no one will spare even his own brother.  (see verses 18-21)

Hebrews 12:29  For our God is a devouring fire.  (see verses 25-29)

Revelation 11:5  If anyone tries to harm them (the two witnesses), fire flashes from their mouths and consumes their enemies. This is how anyone who tries to harm them must die.  (see verses 1-14)

2 Kings 1:10  But Elijah replied to the captain, "If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and destroy you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and killed them all.  (see all chapter 1)

Job 36:30  

"See how he spreads the lightning around him

    and how it lights up the depths of the sea."  (see verses 22-33)

Exodus 19:16  On the morning of the third day, thunder roared and lightning flashed, and a dense cloud came down on the mountain. There was a long, loud blast from a ram's horn, and all the people trembled.  (see all chapter 19)

Job 37:11  

"He loads the clouds with moisture,

    and they flash with his lightning."  (see all chapter 37)

Psalm 18:13  

He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies;

    great bolts of lightning flashed, and they were confused.  (see all Psalm 18)

Jeremiah 10:13  

When he speaks in the thunder,

    the heavens roar with rain.

He causes the clouds to rise over all the earth.

    He sends the lightning with the rain

    and releases the wind from his storehouses.  (see verses 11-16)
