Psalm 97:3-5 Part 2 of 2

Fire spreads ahead of him

    and burns up all his foes.

His lightning flashes out across the world.

    The earth sees and trembles.

The mountains melt like wax before the LORD,

    before the Lord of all the earth.

 

The earth sees and trembles.

Psalm 18:7    

The earth quaked and trembled.

    The foundations of the mountains shook;

    they quaked because of his anger.  (see all Psalm 18)

Jeremiah 10:10  

But the LORD is the only true God.

    He is the living God and the everlasting King!

The whole earth trembles at his anger.

    The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.  (see verses 1-16)

Revelation 8:5  Then the angel filled the incense burner with fire from the altar and threw it down upon the earth; and thunder crashed, lightning flashed, and there was a terrible earthquake.  (see all chapter 8)

The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. 

Psalm 46:6  

The nations are in chaos,

    and their kingdoms crumble!

God's voice thunders,

    and the earth melts!  (see all Psalm 46)

Amos 9:5  

The Lord, the LORD of Heaven's Armies,

    touches the land and it melts,

    and all its people mourn.

The ground rises like the Nile River at floodtime,

    and then it sinks again.  (see all chapter 5)

Micah 1:4  

The mountains melt beneath his feet

    and flow into the valleys

like wax in a fire,

    like water pouring down a hill.  (see all chapter 1)

Nahum 1:5  

In his presence the mountains quake,

    and the hills melt away;

the earth trembles

    and its people are destroyed.  (see verses 1-6)

Habakkuk 3:6  

When he stops the earth shakes.

    When he looks the nations tremble.

He shatters the everlasting mountains

    and levels the eternal hills.

    He is the Eternal One!  (see all chapter 3)
