Psalm 107:39-43 Part 2 of 3

When they decrease in number and become impoverished
    through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,
the LORD pours contempt on their princes,
causing them to wander in trackless wastelands.
But he rescues the poor from trouble
and increases their families like flocks of sheep.
The godly will see these things and be glad,
while the wicked are struck silent.
Those who are wise will take all this to heart;
they will see in our history the faithful love of the LORD.

But he rescues the poor from trouble and increases their families like flocks of sheep.
1 Samuel 2:8
"He lifts the poor from the dust
and the needy from the garbage dump.
He sets them among princes,
placing them in seats of honor.
For the earth is the LORD's,
and he has set the world in order."  (see verses 1-11, also chapter 1)
Psalm 113:7-9
He lifts the poor from the dust
and the needy from the garbage dump.

    making her a happy mother.
Praise the LORD!  (see all Psalm 113)
