Psalm 135:1-4 Part 1 of 3

Praise the LORD!
Praise the name of the LORD!
Praise him, you who serve the LORD,
you who serve in the house of the LORD,
in the courts of the house of our God.
Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good;
celebrate his lovely name with music.
For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself,
Israel for his own special treasure.

Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD! Praise him, you who serve the LORD,
Ezra 3:1-2
In early autumn, when the Israelites had settled in their towns, all the people assembled in Jerusalem with a unified purpose. Then Jeshua son of Jehozadak joined his fellow priests and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel with his family in the rebuilding of the altar of the God of Israel. They wanted to sacrifice burnt offerings on it, as instructed in the Law of Moses, the man of God.  (see all Ezra 3)
Nehemiah 7:73
So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the Temple servants, and some of the common people settled near Jerusalem. The rest of the people returned to their own towns throughout Israel.
(see all Nehemiah 7)

You who serve in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.
1 Chronicles 15:2
Then David commanded, "No one except the Levites may carry the Ark of God. The LORD has chosen them to carry the Ark of the LORD and to serve him forever."  (see all 1 Chronicles 13-15)
Psalm 116:17-19
I will offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving
and call on the name of the LORD.
I will fulfill my vows to the LORD
in the presence of all his people--
in the house of the LORD
    in the heart of Jerusalem.
Praise the LORD!  (see all Psalm 116)
Luke 2:36-38
Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher, and she was very old. Her husband had died when they had been married only seven years. Then she lived as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the Temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer. She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about the child to everyone who had been waiting expectantly for God to rescue Jerusalem.  (see all Luke 2)
