Psalm 136:16-22 Part 3 of 3

Give thanks to him who led his people through the wilderness.
    His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to him who struck down mighty kings.
    His faithful love endures forever.
He killed powerful kings--
    His faithful love endures forever.
Sihon king of the Amorites,
    His faithful love endures forever.
and Og king of Bashan.
    His faithful love endures forever.
God gave the land of these kings as an inheritance--
    His faithful love endures forever.
a special possession to his servant Israel.
    His faithful love endures forever.

God gave the land of these kings as an inheritance-- ... a special possession to his servant Israel. His faithful love endures forever.

Joshua 12:7a
The following is a list of the kings that Joshua and the Israelite armies defeated on the west side of the Jordan, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon to Mount Halak, which leads up to Seir.  (see all Joshua 12)
Psalm 78:55

he gave them their inheritance by lot.
He settled the tribes of Israel in their homes.  (see Psalm 78:52-55)
Isaiah 41:8-9
"But as for you, Israel my servant
    Jacob my chosen one,
    descended from Abraham my friend,
I have called you back from the ends of the earth,
    saying, 'You are my servant.'
For I have chosen you
and will not throw you away."  (see all Isaiah 41)
Isaiah 43:16-18
"I am the LORD, who opened a way through the waters,
making a dry path through the sea.
I called forth the mighty army of Egypt
with all its chariots and horses.
I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned,
their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick.
But forget all that--
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do."  (see all Isaiah 43)
