Psalm 135:8-12 Part 1 of 3

He destroyed the firstborn in each Egyptian home,

    both people and animals.

He performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt

    against Pharaoh and all his people.

He struck down great nations

    and slaughtered mighty kings--

Sihon king of the Amorites,

    Og king of Bashan,

    and all the kings of Canaan.

He gave their land as an inheritance,

    a special possession to his people Israel.

Exodus 4:22-23

    " 'Then you will tell him, "This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son. I command you, Let my son go, so he can worship me." But since you have refused, I will now kill your firstborn son!' "

"On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the LORD!"

Psalm 78:51  

He killed the oldest son in each Egyptian family, 

    the flower of youth throughout the land of Egypt.

 

He performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt against Pharaoh and all his people.  

Exodus 7:9  

"Pharaoh will demand, 'Show me a miracle.' When he does this, say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and throw it down in front of Pharaoh, and it will become a serpent.' " (see Exodus 7-12) 

Deuteronomy 6:22  

"The LORD did miraculous signs and wonders before our eyes, dealing terrifying blows against Egypt and Pharaoh and all his people."

Psalm 136:10-13  

Give thanks to him who killed the firstborn of Egypt.

    His faithful love endures forever. 

He brought Israel out of Egypt.

    His faithful love endures forever.  

He acted with a strong hand and powerful arm.

    His faithful love endures forever.

Give thanks to him who parted the Red Sea.

    His faithful love endures forever.  (see Psalm 136:10-16)
