Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles.

Genesis 1:9-10

Then God said, "Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear." And that is what happened. God called the dry ground "land" and the waters "seas." And God saw that it was good.

The earth is the LORD's and everything in it.

    The world and all its people belong to him.

Isaiah 42:5  

God, the LORD, created the heavens and stretched them out.

    He created the earth and everything in it.

He gives breath to everyone,

Isaiah 44:24  

This is what the LORD says--

    your Redeemer and Creator:

"I am the LORD, who made all things.

    I alone stretched out the heavens.

Who was with me

    when I made the earth?"  (see Isaiah 44:21-28)

Jeremiah 33:1-3  

    While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard the LORD gave him this second message: "This is what the LORD says--the LORD who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the LORD: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come."  (see all Jeremiah 33)

2 Peter 3:5-7  

    They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.  (see all 2 Peter 3)
