Luke 1:11-13 Part 5 of 8

While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. But the angel said, "Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John."

 

"Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer." 

Daniel 10:12  Then he (see verses 4-11) said, "Don't be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer."

Matthew 14:27  But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don't be afraid," he said. "Take courage. I am here!" 

Matthew 17:7-8  Then Jesus came over and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid." And when they looked up, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus.

Matthew 28:5-6  Then the angel spoke to the women. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying."

Matthew 28:10  Then Jesus said to them, "Don't be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there."
