Luke 1:5-7 Part 2 of 3

When Herod was king of Judea, there was a Jewish priest named Zechariah. He was a member of the priestly order of Abijah, and his wife, Elizabeth, was also from the priestly line of Aaron. Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God's eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord's commandments and regulations. They had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive, and they were both very old.

Genesis 6:9  This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. 

Deuteronomy 5:32-33  So Moses told the people, "You must be careful to obey all the commands of the LORD your God, following his instructions in every detail. Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy." 

1 Kings 9:4-5  "As for you, if you will follow me with integrity and godliness, as David your father did, obeying all my commands, decrees, and regulations, then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David: 'One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.' " 

Luke 2:25  At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel.

Acts 23:1  Gazing intently at the high council, Paul began: "Brothers, I have always lived before God with a clear conscience!"

Philippians 2:15  Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright stars in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

Philippians 3:6  I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault. 

1 Thessalonians 2:10  You yourselves are our witnesses--and so is God--that we were devout and honest and faultless toward all of you believers.

1 Thessalonians 3:13  May he (the Lord), as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen. 

1 Thessalonians 5:23  Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
