Luke 1:11-13 Part 6 of 8

While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. But the angel said, "Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John."

 

Don't be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer." 

Luke 1:30  "Don't be afraid, Mary," the angel told her, "for you have found favor with God!"

Luke 2:9-10  Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them (the shepherds), and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people."

Acts 18:9-10  One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, "Don't be afraid! Speak out! Don't be silent! For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city (Corinth) belong to me."

Acts 23:11  That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, "Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well."

Revelation 1:17-19  When I (John) saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, "Don't be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look--I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave. Write down what you have seen--both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen."
