Luke 1:26-29 Part 4 of 5

In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, "Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!" Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean.

Gabriel appeared to her and said, "Greetings favored woman!"

Proverbs 8:35  "For whoever finds me (Wisdom) finds life and receives favor from the LORD."

Proverbs 18:22  The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and receives favor from the LORD.

Luke 2:14  "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased."

Luke 2:52  Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and all the  people.

1 Peter 5:5  In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for "God opposes the proud but favors the humble." (Proverbs 3:34)

Judges 6:11-12  Then the angel of the LORD came and sat beneath the great tree at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash of the clan of Abiezer. Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites. The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, "Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!"

Zephaniah 3:16-17  On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be, "Cheer up, Zion! Don't be afraid! For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

Genesis 39:2  The LORD was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.

Genesis 39:21  But the LORD was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the LORD made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden.
