Luke 1:53-56 Part 2 of 3

"He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands. He has helped his servant Israel and remembered to be merciful. For he made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever." Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.

"He has helped his servant Israel"
Isaiah 41:8-9  "But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend, I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, 'You are my servant.' For I have chosen you and will not throw you away."
Isaiah 44:21  "Pay attention, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I, the LORD, made you, and I will not forget you."
Isaiah 49:3  He said to me, "You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory."
Hebrews 2:16  We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.

"and remembered to be merciful." 
Genesis 22:16-18  "This is what the LORD says: Because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son, your only son, I swear by my own name that I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed--all because you have obeyed me."
Psalm 98:3  He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.
Luke 1:72-73  "He has been merciful to our ancestors by remembering his sacred covenant--the covenant he swore with an oath to our ancestor Abraham."
