Luke 8:40-42

On the other side of the lake the crowds welcomed Jesus, because they had been waiting for him. Then a man named Jairus, a leader of the local synagogue, came and fell at Jesus' feet, pleading with him to come home with him. His only daughter, who was about twelve years old, was dying. As Jesus went with him, he was surrounded by the crowds.

Mark 5:21  Jesus got into the boat and went back to the other side of the lake, where a large crowd gathered around him on the shore.

Luke 9:11  But the crowds found out where he was going, and they followed him. He welcomed them and taught them about the Kingdom of God, and he healed those who were sick.

Then a man named Jairus, a leader of the local synagogue, came and fell at Jesus' feet, pleading with him to come home with him. 

Mark 5:22-23a  Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him.

Luke 8:49  While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him, "Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the Teacher now." (also Mark 5:35)

 

His only daughter, who was about twelve years old, was dying. 

Matthew 9:18  As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt before him. "My daughter has just died," he said, "but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hands on her." 

Mark 5:23b  "My little daughter is dying," he said. "Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live."

As Jesus went with him, he was surrounded by the crowds. 

Matthew 9:19  So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him.

Mark 5:24  Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him.

Matthew 9:36  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Luke 5:15  But despite Jesus' instructions, the report of his power spread even faster, and vast crowds came to hear him preach and to be healed of their diseases.

Luke 8:45  "Who touched me?" Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, "Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you."

John 6:2  A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick.
