Luke 9:3-6 Part 1 of 3

"Take nothing for your journey," he instructed them. "Don't take a walking stick, a traveler's bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes. Wherever you go, stay in the same house until you leave town. And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate." So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.

"Take nothing for your journey," he instructed them. "Don't take a walking stick, a traveler's bag, food, money or even a change of clothes."

Matthew 10:9-10  "Don't take any money in your money belts--no gold, silver, or even copper coins. Don't carry a traveler's bag with a change of clothes and sandals or even a walking stick. don't hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve to be fed."

Mark 6:8-9  He told them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick--no food, no traveler's bag, no money. He allowed them to wear sandals but not to take a change of clothes.

Luke 10:4  "Don't take any money with you, nor a traveler's bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don't stop to greet anyone on the road."

Luke 22:35  Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you out to preach the Good News and you did not have money, a traveler's bag, or an extra pair of sandals, did you need anything?"  "No," they replied.

"Wherever you go, stay in the same house until you leave town." 

Matthew 10:11-13  "Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town. When you enter the home give it your blessing. If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing."

Mark 6:10  "Wherever you go," he said, "stay in the same house until you leave town."
