Luke 9:18-20 Part 2 of 2

One day Jesus left the crowds to pray alone. Only his disciples were with him, and he asked them, "Who do people say I am?"  "Well," they replied, "some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say you are one of the other ancient prophets risen from the dead." Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Peter replied, "You are the Messiah sent from God!"

Matthew 16:14  "Well," they replied, "some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets."

Mark 6:15  Others said, "He's the prophet Elijah." Still others said, "He's a prophet like the other great prophets of the past."

Mark 8:28  "Well," they replied, "some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say you are one of the other prophets."

Luke 9:8  Others thought Jesus was Elijah or one of the other prophets risen from the dead.

Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Peter replied, "You are the Messiah sent from God!" 

Matthew 16:15-16  Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

Mark 8:29  Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Peter replied, "You are the Messiah."

John 1:49  Then Nathanael exclaimed, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God--the King of Israel!"

John 6:68-69  Simon Peter replied, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God."

John 11:27  "Yes, Lord," she (Martha) told him. "I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God."
