Luke 8:49-51

While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him, "Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the Teacher now." But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid. Just have faith and she will be healed." When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn't let anyone go in with him except Peter, John, James, and the little girl's father and mother.

Luke 8:41-42  Then a man named Jairus, a leader of the local synagogue, came and fell at Jesus' feet, pleading with him to come home with him. His only daughter, who was about twelve years old, was dying.

He told him, "Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the Teacher now." 

Mark 5:35  While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, "Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the Teacher now."

Luke 7:6  So Jesus went with them. But just before they arrived at the house, the officer sent some friends to say, "Lord, don't trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor."

John 11:21  Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died."

John 11:32  When Mary arrived and saw Jesus, she fell at his feet and said, "Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died."

But when Jesus had heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid. Just have faith and she will be healed." 

Mark 5:36  But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid. Just have faith."

When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn't let anyone go in with him except Peter, John, James, and the little girl's father and mother. 

Mark 5:37  Then Jesus stopped the crowd and wouldn't let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John (the brother of James).

Matthew 17:1  Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone.

Matthew 26:36-38  Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and he said, "Sit here while I go over there to pray." He took Peter and Zebedee's two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. He told them, "My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."
