I,
Daniel, was troubled by all I had seen, and my visions terrified me. So
I approached one of those standing beside the throne and asked him what
it all meant. He explained it to me like this: "These four huge beasts
represent four kingdoms that will arise from the earth. But in the end,
the holy people of the Most High will be given the kingdom, and they
will rule forever and ever."
"These four huge beasts represent four kingdoms that will arise from the earth."
Daniel 2:38-40 "He has made you the ruler over all the inhabited world and has put even the wild animals and birds under your control. You are the head of gold. But after your kingdom comes to an end, another kingdom, inferior to yours, will rise to take your place. After that kingdom has fallen, yet a third kingdom, represented by bronze, will rise to rule the world. Following that kingdom there will be a fourth one, as strong as iron. That kingdom will smash and crush all previous empires, just as iron smashes and crushes everything it strikes." (see verses 24-45)
Daniel 7:2-3 In my vision that night, I, Daniel, saw a great storm churning the surface of a great sea, with strong winds blowing from every direction. Then four huge beasts came up out of the water, each different from the others. (see verses 1-8)
"But in the end, the holy people of the Most High"
Deuteronomy 33:3 "Indeed, he loves his people; all his holy ones are in his hands. They follow in his steps and accept his teaching." (see verses 1-5)
Psalm 16:3 The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them! (see all Psalm 16)
Psalm 30:4 Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name. (see all Psalm 30)
Psalm 85:8 I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. (see all Psalm 85)
Romans 1:6-7 And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. (see verses 1-7)
