Then
I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, the one so
different from the others and so terrifying. It had devoured and crushed
its victims with iron teeth and bronze claws, trampling their remains
beneath its feet. I also asked about the
ten horns on the fourth beast's head and the little horn that came up
afterward and destroyed three of the other horns. This horn had seemed
greater than the others, and it had human eyes and a mouth that was
boasting arrogantly. As I watched this horn was waging war against God's
holy people and was defeating them, until the Ancient One--the Most
High--came and judged in favor of his holy people. Then the time arrived
for the holy people to take over the kingdom.

Daniel 7:13-14 As my vision continued that night, I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient One and was led into his presence. He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal--it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed. (see verses 1-14)
Mark 8:34-38 Then calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
1 Corinthians 6:2-3 Don't you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can't you decide even these little things among yourselves? Don't you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. (see verses 1-8)
