Psalm 94:1

O LORD, the God of vengeance,

    O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth!

Genesis 4:15  The LORD replied, "No, for I will give a seven-fold punishment to anyone who kills you."  (see verses 3-16)

Genesis 4:24  

"If someone who kills Cain is punished seven times,

    then the one who kills me will be punished seventy-seven times!"

Leviticus 21:18  "And if, in spite of all this, you still disobey me, I will punish you seven times over for your sins."  (see verses 14-45)

Deuteronomy 32:35  

" 'I will take revenge; I will pay them back.

    In due time their feet will slip.

Psalm 79:12

Isaiah 35:4  

Say to those with fearful hearts,

    "Be strong, and do not fear,

for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.

Jeremiah 51:56  

"Destroying armies come against Babylon.

    Her mighty men are captured,

    and their weapons break in their hands.

For the LORD is a God who gives just punishment;

    he always repays in full."  (see verses 54-58)

Nahum 1:2  

The LORD is a jealous God,

    filled with vengeance and rage.

He takes revenge on all who oppose him

    and continues to rage against his enemies!  (see all Nahum)

Matthew 18:21-22  Then Peter came to him and asked, "Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?"  "No, not seven times," Jesus replied, "but seventy times seven!"  (see verses 21-35)

Romans 12:19  Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,

    "I will take revenge;

        I will pay them back,"

        says the LORD.  (Deuteronomy 32:35)
