He punishes the nations--won't he also punish you?
He knows everything--doesn't he also know what you are doing?
The LORD knows people's thoughts;
he knows they are worthless!
The LORD knows people's thoughts;
Psalm 139:1-2
O LORD, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I'm far away. (see all Psalm 139)
Proverbs 15:26
The LORD detests evil plans,
but he delights in pure words.
Matthew 9:4 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, "Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts?" (see verses 1-8)
Matthew 12:25 Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, "Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart." (see verses 27-37, also Luke 11:14-28)
Luke 6:8 But Jesus knew their thoughts. He said to the man with the deformed hand, "Come and stand in front of everyone." So the man came forward. (see verses 6-11)
Luke 8:47-48 When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. "Daughter," he said to her, "your faith has made you well. Go in peace." (see verses 40-56)
John 2:24-25 But Jesus didn't trust them, because he knew all about people. No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person's heart. (see all chapter 2)
he knows they are worthless!
1 Corinthians 3:18-20 Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world's standards, you need to become a fool to become truly wise. for the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say,
"He traps the wise
in the snare of their own cleverness." (Job 5:13)
And again,
"The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise;
he knows they are worthless." (Psalm 94:11)
