Psalm 104:10-12

You make springs pour water into the ravines,

    so streams gush down from the mountains.

They provide water for all the animals,

    and the wild donkeys quench their thirst.

The birds nest beside the streams

    and sing among the branches of the trees.

Isaiah 35:6b-7  

Springs will gush forth in the wilderness,

    and streams will water the wasteland.

The parched ground will become a pool,

    and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land.

Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish

Isaiah 41:18  

"I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus.

    I will give them fountains of water in the valleys.

I will fill the desert with pools of water.

    Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground."

John 4:13-14  Jesus replied, "Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life."  (see verses 1-42)

Isaiah 32:14-15  

The palace and the city will be deserted,

    and the towns will be empty. 

Wild donkeys will frolic and flocks will graze

    in the empty forts and watchtowers

until at last the Spirit is poured out 

    on us from heaven.

Matthew 13:31-32  Here is another illustration Jesus used: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches."  (see all chapter 13)

Jeremiah 31:9  

"Tears of joy will stream down their faces,

    and I will lead them home with great care.

They will walk beside quiet streams

    and on smooth paths where they will not stumble.

For I am Israel's father,

    and Ephraim is my oldest child."  (see verses 1-14)
